Special Collections Reading Room

The Frances Loeb Library Special Collections Reading Room welcomes researchers.

  • Special Collections is open 10:30am-4:00pm. Closed weekends and University holidays.

  • Please schedule your visit after being notified by staff that items you requested are available to view in the reading room.

  • To provide access to as many researchers as possible, appointment blocks max out at 4 hours.  However, should a longer visit be needed, a second appointment may be booked for the same day.

  • Researchers planning to browse the LeCorbusier Research Collection or Materials Collection should first register in HOLLIS Special Request, then schedule an appointment.

  • The GSD is open to the public. Before entering the Frances Loeb Library, non-Harvard visitors must check-in with GSD Security at Gund Hall’s Quincy Street entrance. As outlined in the GSD's Reopening Guidelines, visitors are required to provide proof of vaccination (including a booster shot) and photo ID.
