Please join us in the library for a conversation between Hannah Ahlblad and Jorge Otero-Pailos on Treaties on De-Fences.
Treaties on De-Fences is an artist book of prints created by Jorge Otero-Pailos and made available to the public on the occasion of his 2024 Park Avenue sculptures exhibition Analogue Sites.
Much like the exhibition, the artist’s book of prints aims to raise awareness and advocate for the preservation of modernist U.S. embassies. While the art installation uses large sculptures, as a method to make these embassies visible and tangible to the general public, the artist's book of prints further enacts and intertwines the energy of the sculptures and the diplomatic treaties from which the sculptures derive their names.
This event is free and open to the public.
Participants are invited to attend in person in the Loeb Library or join via livestream, here. This event will be recorded.
