Archives Party 024: Soundscapes In-Person
Archives Party 024: Soundscapes...
This event will focus on a selection of rare books and materials from Frances Loeb Library that focus on sound, acoustics, architecture and spatial practices. Archive Parties at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD) are recurring, curator-led gatherings in the Frances Loeb Library Special Collections that showcase rare design materials, such as sketches, journals, and photographs. These interactive, small-group events allow students and faculty to engage directly with historical artifacts, covering a diversity of themes.
This party is co-hosted by Jacek Smolicki, 2026 Loeb & ArtLab Fellow in partnership with Frances Loeb Library's Special Collections.
Soundscapes... is part of the Walking Festival of Sound, Boston-Cambridge, April 15-May 3, 2026.
Simultaneously, throughout the period of the festival, the Frances Loeb Library will host an exhibition of books from its collection that revolve around the subjects of sound, soundscapes, acoustics, spatial design, architecture, and the environment.
Registration is required and will be open the week of the event.
