Jeanne Gang, FAIA, is a Professor in Practice of Architecture at Harvard GSD and the founding partner of Studio Gang, an international architecture and urban design firm. Known for her research-driven approach, she integrates ecological systems into her designs, emphasizing relationships between people, communities, and the environment. Her major projects include the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the Gilder Center at the American Museum of Natural History, and Tom Lee Park in Memphis. Upcoming works include the U.S. Embassy in Brasilia and the Sustainability Commons at Stanford. 

Beyond architecture, Gang and her studio engage in research, publications, and exhibitions aimed at social and environmental change, a practice she calls “actionable idealism.” A MacArthur Fellow and recipient of numerous awards, her works is in major museum collections. She holds an M.Arch from Harvard GSD and has taught there since 2011, focusing on materiality and adaptive reuse in architecture.

Antoine Picon is the G. Ware Travelstead Professor of the History of Architecture and Technology at Harvard GSD and Chair of the PhD program in Architecuture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning. Trained as an engineer, architect, and historian, his research explores the relationship between architecture, technology, and society from the 18th century to today.

Picon has authored numerous books on architectural theory, digital culture, and the history of engineering, including the Materiality of Architecture and Smart Cities: A Spatilaised Intelligence. His latest work examines the evolution of urban nature and its technological and social dimensions. A member of the French Académie des Technologies and Académie d’Architecture, he as received multiple awards for his scholarship.
