Archives Party 02: Forgotten Thoughts In-Person
We’re excited to announce that the Frances Loeb Library’s Archives Party 02: Forgotten Thoughts will be held in the Special Collections Reading Room on Monday, October 28, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm.
Forgotten Thoughts stitches exemplary projects, big and small, based in Latin America, showcasing high experimentation in design and production. In collecting materials such as photographs, film, drawings, sketches/notebooks, transcripts, and receipts, we ask how these documents tell the stories of the design process. What did each designer think about as they sketched their drawing, who were these documents intended for, what materials were they exploring and for what reason?
In turn, we ask you, what have you produced, manufactured, patented and how does that impact the way you design now? Which of your drawings is near and dear to you, which one are you obsessed with and why. If you can join us, we kindly ask that you bring with you a thought (documented through drawing, photograph, video) and share with us how it affects your design process now.
This party will be hosted by Genesis Solano, M.Arch'26 and Paola Ovando Peraza, M.Arch'25, together with Ines Zalduendo, Special Collections Curator. Space is limited to 15 attendees. Open to all students, staff, and faculty from the GSD. Registration is required and will open Friday at 10 am.
