Use the location dropdown to specify where the appointment will take place. Selecting a different location will reload the appointment dates and times that are available to be booked.

One-on-One Librarian Appointments:

Welcome! We are excited to support you in your research pursuits at the GSD and beyond. We offer 1-on-1 consultations for:

General Research Support:

  • Get advice on the best bodies of literature and journal collections for your research question
  • Develop search strategies to feel confident you've done a thorough search
  • Learn how to take full advantage of Special Collections
  • Receive guidance on usage and management of Zotero
  • Get help troubleshooting any research-related question or problem

Writing Support:

  • Get advice on planning and organizing large writing projects
  • Develop your command of grammar, punctuation, and pronunciation
  • Receive coaching in developing skills like summarizing, editing, and proofreading
  • Get help with APA or Chicago citations and integrating sources

GIS/Mapping Support:

  • Find answers for your geospatial research questions
  • Receive expertise on finding qualitative data 
  • Learn how to use GIS software for visualization and mapping
  • Acquire skills in becoming expert in geospatial project management.
